Championship Tables

The championship tables are giving an early indication towards a final outcome. Stacey Killworth [#5] looks like he’s going to run away with events 5 and 9, likewise Merv Stratford [#47] in event 2. Merv’s close rival in event 1, Ian Cramp [#21], couldn’t take advantage of his non appearance to overhaul him and gain a few valuable points lead in what looks like it could be a close run championship. Graham Buller [#195] has made his customary blazing start in event 3 with the pack chasing him from a long way back. In event 11 Scott Harris [#253] trails David Tetley [#248] by a single point in what looks likely to be a a hard fought battle to the end of the season. In event 18 the Father / Daughter pairing, Malc and Donna Mackay [#8], extended their championship lead over John Lorriman / Naomi Clough [#13] by 20 pts as John’s machine spluttered to a halt in both races, the victim of a misfiring engine. Its a closer run thing in event 19 with leaders Banister & Barnes [#36] continuing to hold a slim lead over joint second placed championship rivals Pearson & Pearson [#23] and Cox & Coates [#66]. Event 20 see’s Ormrod & Neal ‘s lead cut to 20 points by the husband and wife team Steve & Bev Hutchinson [#27], both driving Mini engined Berkeley T60s.
